Obviously, the surgery is expensive, but the big whammy is the anti-rejection medication I will have to take for the rest of my life. My portion will be about $400 a month. Then I have all the secondary problems that are caused indirectly by kidney failure, and the bills that come from seeing doctors for them. As you can see – it adds up quickly.
